With Covid continuing to be an issue for all of us, as a small family business here at Dello Mano we dig deep and search back to past travels for some inspiration. On this day in 2020 we'd visited the Said Chocolate Factory. A beautiful interior and delicious treats. Said was first established in Rome in 1923. Inspiration today drawing on its' creativity, longevity and delicious products.
Diary 24 Jan 22. Covid update including Brisbane peak predicted in the next few days. Indoor masks remain mandatory. In order to combat the exhaustion we ran a competition for small business to win a chocolate gift box of brownies. We hoped that would add a little positive energy. Looking for more positive thought and inspiration we also found a Bombolone recipe and enjoyed a homemade version inspired by our trip to Sigep in Rimini Italy 2020.
Diary 23 Jan 22. Some helpful hints on how to organise a stylish Virtual High Tea at Home. Everything from getting set up with invitations to planning and the food. With so many people unable to get to each other for special celebrations now is the time to re-think the traditional high tea.
Diary 22 Jan 22 - Today baking in our home kitchen we made a chocolate custard and caramel tart. The combination of handmade sweet pastry with caramel and chocolate custard is a real treat.
Diary 21 Jan 22. Following a night enjoying the delicious birthday cake created by Roberto Rinaldini for Frederico Fellini's 100th birthday, we decided to visit his Rimini store. Located about 30 minutes away from our Airbnb we walked across enjoying the canal, suburban streets and even a quick walk on the Adriatic coast! The walk turned out to be a little longer though breakfast was worth the wait.
A reflection of this day 2020. A crowd gathered at the Piazza Cavour to celebrate what would have been the 100th birthday of Frederico Fellini. Born in Rimini, Frederico today is considered one of the greatest movie directors of all time. The street party culminated with the serving of a 2 metre high birthday cake.

Diary Update 18 Jan 22 - In the kitchen today we're decorating Vegan Brownie Jewel Box Cakes. Our brownie jewel box cake is available in Classic, Gluten Free cake and Vegan cake. A small update too on the competition we're running to support small business.
